Jeff Nichols is a Portland-based creative director and brand leader with a passion for design, storytelling, and the craft of making.
For more than two decades, Jeff has helped build and evolve brands by finding the stories that connect products with people. His experience spans brand strategy, identity, campaigns, digital, content, experiential, and product storytelling for companies ranging from global manufacturers to heritage consumer brands. He brings a hands-on approach to creative leadership, working across strategy, design, and marketing to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging brand experiences.
His work has helped reposition brands, launch new products, and create new ways for people to connect with the things they use and care about.
That interest in the relationship between people and the things they make and use extends beyond his professional work. Jeff is a self-taught luthier who has been designing and building handmade guitars for more than a decade. A member of the Guild of American Luthiers, he works primarily with locally sourced and reclaimed hardwoods, approaching each instrument as both a functional object and a piece of personal expression.
There is something deeply rewarding about making something with care and craftsmanship, then seeing it become part of someone else’s craft. For Jeff, that connection between maker, product, and user is at the heart of meaningful brand building.
